the wounded pet advanced slowly towards the kid
hoping that this time around
things might be better
hoping that this time around
it will be able to find some comfort
the pain it felt before
the wounds it suffered before
were hidden
seeing the pet's advancement
the kid was happy
for the kid has more company now
played with the pet
then toyed with the pet
then whipping out a needle
poking at the hidden wounds
seeing if the pet has any reaction
a cycle that had gone through too many a times
the pain wouldnt have felt as painful as the first
but the remnants of the wounds
old and new
will still be there
